I recently compression checked my dohc and found that my 2nd cylinder is pushin only 120psi compared to the other 3 cylinders at 180-190.

Wet test on #2 put it up to 180psi.

So, do I build it and do it right? Or do I boost that bad boy until she blows?

Thoughts?

fix one cylinder, boost it, blow it up, then build it fully and boost away...

u got the time and money? then do a full built and boost, if u r poor like me, fix one cylinder and boost till kaboom...

honestly, once the boost bug bites, u will want to blow it up soon and build a stronger motor...

Not my daily. The 240 is my joyridin car, I've got a reliable daily.

I work at a dealership, which is good enough to allow me full use of its facilities when I'm not working. So I can buy a stand, keep the engine at work and build it at my leisure.

I'm well aware of the possible complications of going for broke and just blowing it up. Either way I have the facilities and knowledge to fix it. I just wanted to solicit opinions on the matter.

On the rebuilding subject, has anyone used AMS's "Advanced Rebuild kit"?It has what looks like all the right stuff to build a car well within my power goals ( 500-600hp) as well as all the timing chain parts.

I mean if AMS built one of the most powerful EVOs in the country and one of the most powerful KA-T's, I'm sure they'd have put together a pretty stout kit based on their knowledge.
