help boost hesitates

i noticed that my sr hesistates to boost and doesnt boost correctly...i thought it was a leak sum where...i re-did my piping and made sure there fully tight...checked my maf(sohc) and cleaned it...still nothing..vacuum lines are good...going to check the manifold and extention and downpipe...there's no smoke out the exhaust so i knoe its not blown..any ideas are appreciated..Thanks for looking

how bad is the hesitation? are we talking "i'm sitting at 3k+ RPMS, and when i stomp the pedal, it lags for 5 seconds and stutters"?

One thing I would check would be shaft play on the turbo. My car when the turbo was going out on it, would hesitate to boost, and when you'd hit peak boost, the pressure would drop drastically (like a 7 psi drop).

well its more like it jerks a little will boosting it feels like it wants to go but doesnt...then last night i went out for a drive...tried to gas it...then nothing happened the car started to slow down.....then kicked back up then driving was okay...normal driving is fine...its just when i hit that boost pt where it hesistates...

things to check:

1.) timing 2.) plug gap and make sure your plugs look good (to hit 22 psi i had to gap mine at .28 and was having similar issues as yourself) what kind of boost levels are you trying to hit?3.) just because your not blowing smoke does not mean that your turbo is good.

yea i checked my plugs last night...they look pretty normal...using ngk iridiums...im gona buy sum new ones because i had to emergency gap them to get my car started a while ago..never gave me problems til now...and im only boosting stock 7psi...as far as timing...going to look into that asap...thanks for the input....appreciate it

hows ur fuel filter? mine was studderin and crap before and my fuel filter was stopped up, but ur may be just a little clogged, just a thought.

funny thing mines is all dingy and old...but wouldnt hurt to change it thanks
