!!!HELP!!! Bogging/idle/turbo/slow..:( !!!!HELP!!!!

hi well to start it off i drive an s13 with a redtop SR20DeT... it ran perfect and strong about 4 weeks ago... my mods then were . I/E/FMIC/SAFC2/ and thats about it... well just recently i decided to upgrade a couple of things on my car and just recently put them all on... well here lies the problem... today i installed -spec stage 3 clutch-fidanza flywheel-Cometic 1.3mm 86mm bore MHG-New timing chain kit-Brian Crower 264 12mm I/E cams-Brian Crower Valvesprings and -Hondata Thermal intake manifold gasket

well today i took it out for a drive... it drove fine no leaks, or anything that would get me curious... well i went into town earlier and when i decided to open her up a bit to see how it felt... it would sound really loud while i was "punching it"... well i did it again and all of a sudden i heard a '!!!!POW!!!!" it was loud enough... i got scared that i broke something so i pulled over... at first i thought it was an intercooler piping... well i popped the hood and all pipes seem to be intact still... and now everytime i get into boost it sounds like my turbo is like "screaming" and when i say it sounds like its spooling loud i mean SUPER LOUD... sorry for the long story but i dont know where else to go... me = sad Manly panda

any smoke out the ***? no white **** in the oil? are you still boosting like before? does the turbine/area around the turbine get a lot hotter than before? check the oil lines for the turbo and take it off and see of your compressor blades are all there

there isnt any smoke coming out of the exhaust but when i rev it up some smoke comes from the turbing area... i as boosting the same as before... the turbine area seems to be the same temp as before but ill check again...thanks for the response

sounds like your exhaust piping broke/snapped? Check all the piping going to your turbo and intercoolers. Do you have any form of boost gauge? is so, whats it reading? we nee more info.

ok here are some updates... i drove it again today... no smoke coming out the exhaust that i can see... the boost goes up to 9 psi and then sometimes drops.... the car shuts off every once in a while... and i dont think the turbine is getting hotter than before at all... oh and it is still super slow and it still sounds like its Sucking in MASSIVE amounts of air..

wow. sounds exactly like my car. my car was running beautifully for a while. then one day i had my girlfriend read the boost gauge and tell me how much boost i was putting out. she claims 12psi = P. after this my car has been weird. it bogs and dies randomly. it feels like im getting a lot less power and i can hear my turbo spooling like no other. . . it kinda sounds like a vacumm cleaner now... i talked to my cousin about this and he was talking about spark plugs and fuel injectors. any one have opinions on this?

make sure you dont have oil starvation to your turbo... get an oil pressure gauge and read it clearly.... it was the signs of my failing oil pump.. i should have gotten an oil pressure gauge sooner... well longstory short i gotta replace my main, rod bearings and my thrust washer.. its gonna be a long 2 weeks after deployment.. hope you can fix your problem, i will be fixing mine when i get back from the desert-Dara
