Hello fellow Infiniti owners, I am new to the club and must say I Love my M35. I want to know if anyone who has used the bluetooth experienced "ghost calls"? Let me explain, I will be driving and all of a sudden the cars ringer will ring and the screen displays "Private Caller". Now the problem is my phone, which is a samsung a900, isn't receiving a call. THe only way to stop the car from ringing is to pull over and shut off the motor. The phone and the bluetooth are set up correctly and is shows that the two are paired in the bluetooth settings. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any way to fix it? I really don't want to get a new phone, any suggestions?

Welcome to NICO!

First I have heard of this problem! Assuming my old memory is not failing me, of course.

I hope someone chimes in. I would suggest a trip to the dealer in re this too.

By the way, I removed the "poll" in your post ... if you wanted it, please let me know and I will put it back.

Thanks for the reply! I went to dealer and inquired about the problem and they told me that the samsung a900 is not a compatible phone (from the list that has been approved by infiniti). I hope as well that someone can shine some light on this issue. Again thanks and it's great to be a fellow M owner!

Hi Marc,

I also have an 07 M35 sport and use a Samsung A900 from Sprint. Other than the original messing around with pairing the phone with the car I have not experienced any problems such as the one you are describing. I understand your concern that the phone is not on the approved list from Infiniti, but I assure you mine is working fine.

I suggest maybe having your carrier update the firmware on your phone. I a problem with my phone turning off on its own some time back and they did a firmware update and the problem went away.

I hope this helps.

i have alot of m's come in for bluetooth problems and i test them with my phone which is the a900 and i've never had a problem with the bluetooth. what i would suggest is take it to the dealer and tell them you have one of the compatible phones and tell them what is happening and they should replace the bluetooth unit

Thanks, this is what I was going to do if all else failed. I am comfortable with my A900 and would hate to change it because of incompatibility.

thanks rshivdat, I am glad to hear someone out there is using the A900 with no problems. I tired updating my firmware through the phone and it says there is no update available. I have a razr through cingular that I will be testing so we'll see what happens.

I have been using both a razr (primary) and a blackberry, both from Tmobile, without any (OK - with very few) issues at all on my 06 M35.Mark

I have been having the identical problem, receiving phantom calls to my 2006 M35/Samsung A900 exactly as you described it. I spoke with my Infiniti dealer (who has been very good) and they didn't know any thing about it, also to the Radio Shack Sprint people who sold it to me ... ditto.

It is very annoying, especially because I am not a heavy phone user and since this can happen sometimes three times in a single car ride I am fumbling around with a carphone much more than before I got the "hands free" system. I have found that opening the phone and hitting "Talk" twice to start dialing out, then "End" stops the ringing, which is definitely better than pulling over and turning off the car but still incredibly annoying. If the rest of the Bluetooth phone system didn't work so well I'd get rid of it in a second.

If anyone finds a solution to this messed up problem I'll be grateful forever!
