I originally posted this on the KA board but there doesn't seem to be as much activity over there. If a moderator wants to delete that post, feel free.

I jacked up my engine to gain access to the oil pan for my turbo return fitting. However the engine is now off of the mounts and is not lining up as needed. What's the best way to get it back on.

I don't have an engine puller all, All I have is various jacks and jacks stands.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

how far is it off? mine did that once and all i did was use a little leverage to push it back in until it fell into the slots. just jack the motor down till it just rests on the plate, then use a broom stick or somethin to move it, should fall back in.

since the motor mounts are pretty flexable, all I did was loop a piece of rope around the bolt, and pull in the direction that I needed... Then lowered the motor halfway down the bolt, removed rope, and finished the job.-Lech

Jack and a pry bar. Once get get one side in then you attemp the otherside it keeps popping out. Just leave some pressure on them but jack the engine up a little so not all the pressure is on them. They just use the pry bar and pry in the direstion you need to go. Watch for fingers when they do go in.
