I have a 2007 Maxima SE w/approx. 36,000. When car is running, mainly at idle, or when first applying throttle I have a chirping sound (sounds like a bird) that appears to be coming from one of the belts. The vehicle was returned to the dealership for another warranty issue, but big surprise the dealership claims they were unable to hear the chirping sound. Starting to drive me nuts, I have applied belt dressing but it doesn't stop. Can anyone tell me what to do to stop this noise. This is not the standard belt squeeling sound, however I have also heard that before, but only on extremely cold days, and it quits as soon as the engine begins warming up.
Do I need to replace the belts, or does one of them need to be adjusted. Appreaciate any help anyone can offer.
