I was changing the turbo lines on my engine and i stripped out the threads on the block. (wore out piece of s***) It is the banjo bolt for the oil. I need to the size of the bolt so i can get a helicoil and fix it A.S.A.P. i read on one website that it is m12 x 1.25 but i want to get more info from the experts

I had an issue like that, except I stripped the inside threading on the block, I just got a tap and die set and checked out which one was the right one by using a micrometer and determining the threads per inch and diameter

I would take the banjo bolt that you have and match it up to a nut to find the size. If the banjo bolt is striped also take it to a parts store and ask the to size up the pitch of the bolt and the diameter of it. If you have a tap and die set you can match it up to the taps by putting the tap up to it and matching the threads together if the two threads sit inside each other then you have the richt thread pitch.

thanks for the info (i measured the bolt and it is a 14 x 1.5) i stripped out the threads on the block as well (where the banjo bolt connects) i think i took it off too many times and it wore out. i was trying to find a helicoil kit for it but that is turning into a b**** so i may have to find a tap and die set for it and do it the way you said

14x1.5 seems a bit big. Are you sure it is not a 12x1.25? When I got my block it was striped and filled with jb weld from the previous owner, When I taped out the threads It was a 12x1.25 on my block.
