I have a 2008 SL Altima. The brakes started pulsing while braking at about 19,000 miles. Are there known problems with the brakes? I also recently started getting a small vibration in the steering wheel while driving. Anyone have any thoughts? I drive the car nice, and never hit a pothole, how can this be??

warped rotors, a hard stop can cause it. take it to a dealer and let them know, also nissan had a recall on brakes in the past maybe yours were affected.

I'll have to check my last service statement. I didn't have any issues, but my service tech told me he replaced the rear brake pads because of a recall notice on my 08. I'll see if I can find the paper work and see if it's more specific. But again, I haven't had any problems.

There are service bulletins on brake noise but not on vibration that I know of. The bulletins replace rear pads and hardware for noise. Front gets calipers, hardware and pads for noise. I think one is for slow speed noise when cold and other for when brakes get warm. I would take to dealer and tell them you have brake noise and vibration. They should repair no problem.
