i got this damn wire coming from a group of wires near my alternator that is not hooked up. its a thin black wire w an eye at the end. appears to be a ground but not sure. can someone plz!!!!!!!!!!!! tell me what the hell this wire is. does anyone know! does it go to the alternator

it is a ground for your altenator. it mounts to the altenator case. one of the small holes on the back of it.
