(it seems I should post it here~~)

hey, so this time I faced a stereo problem:( Several days ago, my 93 240sx didnt start, I tried jumpstart first. But it seems I did it in a wrong way, I connected positive to positive, NEGATIVE TO NEGATIVE. Later I realized that I should put one negative to ground. ok, the jumpstart didnt help, so I sent it to garage. They replaced a new starter and also recharged the battery. The car was fixed.Immediately, I found the stereo system doesnt work, it seems the radio is working while no sound is heard, and CD player doesnt workd well also, always show"no title" in the LCD. The garage guy replaced fuse in the amp twice, all popped out. They told me the amp is either too old or was damaged during jumpstart. so how do you guys think? which would be the major reason to this problem? and~~ will that help if I replace a new amplifier? Thanks all!

Huh, he replaced the fuses and still nothing? Have you checked to see if your amp is getting power? A slim chance, but maybe the wire melted/got farked in the process and now you need new power/ground?

I like to eliminate all possible causes before deeming an amp, or any other expensive item, shot.
