HELP! Air bag light flashes, lights dim, then car dies

If anybody could please help me out and tell me what this is, it would be greatly appreciated. Im thinking that its the alternator but not sure why it would make the air bag light by the guages flash. Please respond ASAP, so I can drive. Thanks

Does the car start up like 10 or 20 mins later? Might be and air bag sensor.
