Ok, I'm backing up everything remotely important on my computer because I'm pretty sure its about to die and I need to reformat and re-install everything anyway. I have one video that I absolutely refuse to loose, but its too big to fit onto a CD. Does anyone know of a program I can download for free that can break this video into two pieces? Thanks!

I will talk it over, but you could upload it to Q45.org and then redownload it?

winrar...

it works like winzips, it zips it up into one file, but you can break it up into custom sizes.. so you can break it into a bunch of 5mb files, burn as many as possible to one disc, then the rest on another.

you don't have another computer you could put a NIC in and transfer over a network? Thats what I do when it comes time to format.

Use that DVD-R!!! It's only a 4x and only - (not +) but at 20 bucks after $40 rebate why not?!?!

It might not be the best one out there, but crap, it'll get your file crammed on the disc and backed up. Now that we've managed to get this file thing solved at a minimal cost (only 20 bucks) and now you've got a dvd-r, how bout u/ling some clips for NICO to see? lol
