Ok so originally my timing was way off so i recently set it back to where it needed to be. My car still doesnt start normally. I press down the clutch pedal and turn the key but the engine just cranks and doesnt start. The only way I can get the car to stay on is if I depress the clutch pedal and turn the key while slamming my foot down on the gas pedal and releasing the clutch all while the car is in neutral. The shifter feels stiff as hell. And I cant give it gas after that cause it will die as the RPM's decrease. It almost feels like the transmission is in gear when I try to start it but i dont have to keep my foot on the brake unless I try to start it in first gear. Can anyone help me out here. I have a brand new alternator, my battery was tested and is perfect, my timing is set to oem specs. So what could it be...

Yeah i'd start with testing your fuel system. Put a gauge on it make sure you have good fuel pressure. I think it should be something like 35-40psi. Check for intake leaks between the MAF and throttle body to and that you MAF is working correctly.

^ that wont keep it front running.. i had my maf stolen off my car and it ran "ok" but only revved to 2.5k, because you know.. no maf.

its fuel, ignition, or the tps.
