My girl has a 92 Sentra XE that shes been driving for about a year with no real problems. We got snow here the other week and she drove over a curb with the left side of her car.; After that happened her car wouldnt start, no lights or starter or anything.; She got a jump and it drove fine for about 15 minutes. She turned her car off to get gas, turned it on, and started driving for about 10 seconds and it died completely again. She came back to get her car the next day, and after sitting on the jumper cable\s for 15 minutes it wouldnt do anything. Then after the jumpers got taken off she decided to try and start the car one last time and it started right up. It started up and ran in the parking space of our complex for about 2 days and now it turns over, but acts like its starving for fuel. A symptom that hadnt happened before.

I checked the fuses and theyre good, could it be a slow drain on the battery? I threw it on the charger and it should be totally charged but its been on the car for a couple days since I charged it.

How old is the Battery and alternator? I just think this is a simple problem.

the battery and alternator are both in good shape. The battery is at a full charge and if it was the alternator it wouldnt have been able to keep the battery going for as long as it has been.

Today and yesterday it started right up and ran with no issues. I drove it up and down the street after it warmed up and it didnt die. This is all great exept the car did the same thing about a week ago and died on my girl when she was leaving the gas station. I checked the dizzy cap and rotor and theyre in good shape too.

When she ran into the curb, the ground could have been knocked loose.

I have a groung issue on my b14. Some times I stop just right and it will tweak the ground so I have to go wiggle it to get it started. If it's not a ground issue you might have a loose connection somwhere. If it was me I would go through and check all the realays and other connections to see if one came loose.

I'd suspect the ground most likely, but working on stuff since....well....a long time (back when Nissan was only known as Datsun in this country )......I've had a weird case or 2 of a battery having a loose "pate" internally that shorts out now and then causing symptons like this.

Can anyone show me a diagram or give me a detailed description of where the grounds are underneath the base model B13 coupe? I checked all the connections and they seemed fine as does the battery. Thanks.
