i recently put headers an intake and a staight pipe in my 93 240 sx .i have no idea whats wrong with it because one day as i put it in reverse my cars idle started going extremely rough and the engine started shaking. i also noticed that i suddenly had a massive reduction in power. when i would rev. it the rpm's go up quick but as soon as i put it into gear the car advances slow. then after driving it for a bit the car went back to normal. the same thing happened again and again until now it does it constantly. it might have something to do with the O2 sensor because one of the occasions we moved the O2 sensor and it regulated everything. now i replaced the O2 sensor and its still acting the same way. when i replaced all those parts i think i might have disconnected something but i have no idea what it could be? does anyone have any suggestions on what it could be? also when i did the upgrades i removed the entire emissions system that connects on to the intake and the exhaust manifold. the only thing i didnt remove was the EGR tube that spans from the intake man. to the exhaust man. so at this point the pipe is just open. i also havent gotten around to pluging both AIV plugs on the exhaust man. I NEED HELP PLEASE!!

um search, yea

you say you moved one of your O2 sensors. is it the pre cat or aft cat O2?ive heared that moving an o2 to the wrong spot in the pipe can be bad. like water down a drain exhaust spirals through the exhaust pipe. if you dont have the spacing right on the o2 location it will not be in the right spot of the ehaust flow to get an acurate reading, so it might think its too lean when its not and pump in more fuel. making it overly rich. ive personaly never seen this problem but i did hear it in a class from one of the oem exhaust manufactures.pre cat o2 monitors/controls fuel ratio, aft cat o2 monitors efficency of cat.
