HELP!!! 240 Idles at 1000-1200rpm

help me out people! all of a sudden my radiator is EMPTY sunday night and after refilling it the car is idleing at 1000 to 1200rpm... what is going on?!?!

checked the fluids, the only thing "kinda" off is the oil is darker than usual. but its been like that before and would still run perfect.

any help is appreciated. thanks

Umm--does the oil in the crankcase (or inside the oil cap) look like a milkshake? If so, you may have blown the head gasket! Does it overheat?

no its not like that, still pretty "runny" and thin.. just darker. it went hot one time but quickly went down... hasn't done that since.

Sounds familiar! I had the same thing happen to me and it wound up being a hole in the radiator and the water pump. Unfortunately I found out too late and blew the head! Have it pressure tested at your local radiator place (or wherever you go for servicing).

It might just be an Idle adjust..My fix-it book say adjust the throtle cable...Presure check the sys. If its fine...Adjust the throtle.Good luck.
