I just got appradio installed in my Versa.I had it done professionally so not to void my warranty but here is the problem I am having. My FM/AM stations have a ton of static coming in and out. Like the sound of a radio station makes when your going out of town and its starting to fade out. But its constant and happens on every single station and often. Ive taken it in to have it looked at and the powered antenna wire is attached so its not that. The antenna cable is connected strongly. I don't know if its something with the versa that I need to do or if the head unit is just malfunctioning. The sound is fine playing Pandora or any other audio source. I am just stuck and even the pro installers dont know what it could be. What do I do now? Call pioneer or nissan?

HELLLLP!

nissan won't have a clue, call pioneer, Their customer support is pretty good (My HU is a pioneer as well). Who did the install/where di you buy the HU. If it was bought from a reputable source, they will probably try to fix it. Sometimes radios that have so much stuff going on have to cut back somewhere, and it may be that the appradio cut back on the fm sensitivity.

A quick look at some reviews didn't show anything about the radio not working, so maybe you just got a bad stereo. I'd ask for a new one from whoever you bought it from
