help!! 2010 EX35 won't start??

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

So i was sitting in the car with the car "on" so all electronics working, sans engine running....

well actually what i was doing was sitting in the garage loading up my CDs for like an hour, and then the EX suddenly dies...

I tried starting the car, but all it does is make what i believe is the spark plug firing sound, and then it goes into "lock" mode.....

i'm pretty confused as to what happened, is it possible the battery died on me from sitting there an hour?

It drove fine like 1.5 hours ago..... i'm absolutely confused.

Right now i can use the key to lock/unlock, when i get in the car i can do acc/on, but i cannot start the engine. when i do it makes a very loud clicking sound and then nothing happens

First response would be yes...to your battery low idea.

When the ON is on...it is sending juice to lots of stuff, parking lights, etc. The ACC mode is more limited in juice requirements...and is like for your radio/nav. Slap a battery charger on it for a while and see if your clicking noise then turns into varooommmm!

Good luck

Acc. Not on. That's ignition 101.

You'll be buying a new battery in no time.

i didnt think the car would die that quick, i mean it was barely an hour in there...lol

it's okay lesson learned, none of my other cars had a HDD so ive never actually put myself in that position before LOL, any other time i've spent in the car not driving probably required the battery to be disconnected ;-)

well since it appeared to be just running low (vs dying out) - since my welcome lighting and lights and everything else worked, i left it alone for like 45 min came back and it started back up

for some odd reason my Tire pressure symbol is on now, but every wheel is at 33-35psi, i even filled it all to 35 and then drove around and it's still on....i have noooo idea wtf just happened

nevermind the Tire pressure light is flashing in the beginning for like a minute than stays lit...that's the sign for TPMS sensor error right? -

Acc shouldn't be an issue.

I thought you said you the ignition turned to on.

I'm confused.
