Dear All:

I have a 2008 altima 2.5SL, and the A-pillar on driver's side is leaking water (due to moonroof drainage leak), I was trying to find vid to fix it but I can't......how do I fix this with the cheapest cost? Thanks.

I can't be Altima specific, but there is usually a tray around the sunroof which plumbs into two to four holes that run down the pillars. If these get clogged water will back up and leak. See if you can look down the drains and pour some water down each starting at the suspect one. If you have one backing up you will have to clear it out. You could try compressed air to blow out the crud, but that might just jam it down in there worse. Try snaking it out first with some soft wire.

I pry opened the A-pillar,

And don't know how to install the hose' head (end) back .... the hose seemed to have a plastic cap according to

and inside that hole, there are some wires (I'm scared of these wires... )
so I ramed the hose back into that hole

How to install that hose back properly?
The internet seemed to have less information on the 08 equivalent altima hose fix problem........I cannot find them.

I tried to pour water into the sunroof ditch. That hose work, yet 10% water leaked from the A-pillar again ...... so I pry open the roof finish/trim 1 inch wide, the hose seemed to be no problem inside the roof (even the joint connected to the roof is sturdy)
Guess it needs to see the doctor........ costing more $$ ......

Thanks and gig'em!!

Just take your Altima to the closet Nissan dealership! They will fix this problem for you correctly and with ease. :)

I took it to college station Douglass Nissan, and asked for a swap for that drainhose. Masterial cost $3, labor cost $105(one had to pry open the dash board and etc etc)

Prior to that, I called them, they said it might cost $500

The hose had two kinks, and from then on there were no more leaks.

Nissan owners manual does not depict the drain hoses very clear. So better educate yourself or take it to the dealer.

so after I pry open all that, I assumed it was kinks in drainhose.
I asked two times, one I asked "how much does it cost to fix a leak", they said $500

I asked "how much does it cost to replace the drainhose", they said the hose is $3, labor fee $100 (for taking everything apart including dashboard.)

After replacing it, cost me $108 dollars, no more leaking problems.
