Hi All,

Sofi's son has a G35 with an OBDII P0345 code. A search reveals that it is a Camshaft Position Sensor in Bank 2.

??? Seems bank 2 is on the drivers side ???

??? There are 2 Camshaft Position Sensors on each side, an intake and exhaust, and you should try the intake, & if it does not fix it, you should swap it with the exhaust ???

!!! Anyway, thanks to all you pros in advance !!!

??? The real question is, is bank 2 on the driver's side ???

Welcome to NICO! Not sure about which is bank 1 or 2. Feel free to check out the FSM (link in my sig) for info. Otherwise, one of our techs should know.

OK, for those who follow, the Camshaft sensor for Bank 2 is on the drivers side, it is the bent one (the passenger side is straight). Search an auto parts web site and you will see a strait and a bent one

To get to it, lean over from the passenger side. It is mounted on the back side of the engine on the drivers side in the camshaft area (so top) of the drivers side almost at the firewall. You can easily see teh passenger side one, so it is in the same place on the drivers side of the engine, hidden & covered by the intake

Reach in for it from passenger side between firewall & engine (it is hard to find!)

push down on the easy to get to side of the wire connection plug to free it. Go after the bolt with a 10mm socket.

It could be done in 10 minutes with these notes. It took us alot longer to learn where it was & how to get to it.

thanks for all your tips and the FSM helped also!
