HELP!! 1985 4x4 truck keeps dying at random

I have a 1985 4x4 pick-up with a Z24 engine that keeps dying on me. So far I've replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, and the rotor cap with no success. Seems to be dying randomly while I'm driving and then starts back up with no problems after sitting for a minute. Will sometimes happen 2-3 times in a single 20 minute trip.

Any other suggestions/comments??

Mechanical pump or is it the frame mounted electric pump?

How's the wiring look back there? Worst spot for a fuel pump ever I think.
