Help 1700 RPM Fluctiation

well my truck when just reving it in park when it get to about 1700 rpm it starts to drop to 1500 rpm and back and fourth between 1700 and 1500 rpm until i let go of the gas pedal or until i rev it muh higher what could this be? (i fist noticed this problem today while in deep snow in 4wd lo setting and shifter in 1 i thought my trans was going)

Revving the engine in LO and first is asking for trouble, the very low gear set produces high ratio and extreme torque on the drive train.
Try revving the engine with no load in N or P and see if it hunts.
Lack of fuel, leaking vacuum excessive loading will all cause some RPM hunting

It's happening to him while in park as well. I had this same issue a while back on my 02 2WD. I'll check to see if it's doing it when I get home. I'll make a video if it is and post it up. I never figured out what the cause was.

Well thanks for the the common knowledge but in no way was i reving high in lo gear trust me im a off roader i kno how to drive my truck i said in lo gear in deep snow in 1st gear which is 1 on the shifter locked in that when my rpms got to 1500 it was flucating and by no means is 1500 high reving for 1st gear 4wd low its actully where u wanna be for the gear set ups.

Can you please post a video and if you cant how has your gas cosumption been with this problem and how far did u investgate the issue just so i can maybe kno what and what not to look into because im going to dedicate a whole week end of diagnosing this issue and i wanna have sum basis to start off with thanks
