Second time in two weeks that my fuel gauge read empty and when I filled it up it would only allow me to pump between 10-12 gallons. I tried pumping more but the fuel pump kept stopping. When I started my car its only showing 3/4 full.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I had this same problem just a couple of months after I purchase my 2005 Sedan. The dealer is aware of the problem and they will be able to correct it for you under warranty.

It is a faulty sensor in the neck of the fuel tank or something like that. I had this on my '05 coupe two months after purchasing it but that was back before they new it was a sensor problem so they replaced the whole gas tank on mine.

Take it to the dealer and they will take care of it.

and even with those replaced sometimes the gas pump can still try to cut off because of the way the gas tank is shaped...as the gas bulids up the foam and bubbles from the gas starts to build up and may go up in the neck and cause the pump to cut off...its just the way the tank is built...the brand new g35s even do it...i've seen a few m's do it too
