Not even 2 hours, basic hand tools and a dog that kept trying to lick my face while I laid under the truck turning wrenches. Here's the Hellwig bar installed on my 95 Hardbody. I think this is the most fun bolt-on I have performed to date. I forget it's a truck while driving down some of the windier roads around here tonight. Body roll? What body roll? Barely any roll now. The truck is an absolute treat to drive now. Can't wait till the leaf bushings get installed!!

As you can see install is pretty easy. Hellwigs instructions look like photocopied crap. You can barely read them. Like others, I watched the install vid on the Hellwig site to get an idea of what I was up against. Not to bad really. Worst part is fighting the lock nuts on the end of the end links. I give this mod a 8/10, losing 1 point to the instructions and I never give anything a 10.

Here's the pic.

my only question at this point is how similar are the HB and 720 rears? cause there is no sway for the 720.... but if i bought that one i can't see anything that would set me back besides maybe endlink mounting points???

i just don't wanna buy it to find it doesn't work.... what do ya think rev?

Set me back about $189 with shipping.

Pez, Measure the distance between your frame rails in the rear. I'll measure mine and compare.

Does it make a big difference in body lean in turns? I want badly to cure my body roll in turns.

Yeh, I barely notice curves anymore. I do have a slight clunk from the rear, I may not have tightened one of the u-bolts enough. I don't know why Hellwig opted to have me double up the nuts on all the bolts rather than go with a lock nut instead. It's a nice mod none-the-less and anyone adding one of these will be glad they did. I am going to go through mine one more time to make sure I didn't miss something.

Let's do centers so we are on the same page. I won't have a chance till this coming weekend but no problem. I'll measure anything you want on my truck.
