i upgraded the turbo to a gt28rs and the wastegate that was on there was running 12-16 psi so i bought a 12psi hks actuator and in first gear it holds 12psi no problems, then 2nd gear it gets to 12 and creeps up to about 15, 3rd gear samething. 4th it creeps to about 16 and i havent done 5th cause i get frustrated by then.so i put on a 8psi wastegate and the same thing, first gear 8psi perfectly, then 2nd gear it holds 8 then creeps to about 10-11, 3rd gear creeps to 13-14.. idk what to do?! and it runs damn lean on the dyno in 3rd and 4th gear.. im not sure the exact numbers off the top of my head but its dangerous lol. i have stock injectors but a 255 fuel pump.. what do i need to do to lock down my boost?!no matter what wastegate i try (ive tried 4 now) i have boost creep.is the turbo just out flowing the wastegate? i thought that at first that was it but 6,8,12 psi wastegates is the same story.someone help!! ive looked around and cant find exactly my same problem on here so sorry if there is and i missed it.

i was thinkin about buying a stock t25 and putting that back on there since i dont have mine any more... any suggestions?!

Where is your boost sorce located at? Nipple on the hotpipe or nipple on the tbody? Make sure it's not tee'd off.

Also check for any vaccum leak. They cause over boost problem.

Buy a manual boost controller instead of swapping out yours WG actuactors it's a lot easier

my wastegate signal is right now on a nipple on the hot pipe, ive tried teeing it from the bov too and same situation.. im so stumped!

and why would i buy a manual boost controller, you cant nessicarly turn boost lower then the wastegate is rated, boost controllers are only to turn boost up and im looking to turn it down as of now to a safe psi.

have you tried hooking up the wastegate signal line to one of the nipples on the throttle body, thats where mines hooked up.

this is actually weird ill keep my eye on this thread

hooking up a boost controller won't help you can't lower the cracking pressure of the waste gates spring.

all a boost controller does is holds up the pressure until it reaches a higher pressure than the wg and then sends it to the wg to open

just buy an electronic boost controller that way you can set your own boost (warnings, max, min etc) problem solved

mines doing the same thing starts out at 7 where it should be and creeps up to around 10 in first and 12 in second, havent pushed it in third. i tryed a manual boost controller and it slowed the creep down a little but it is still there. will an electronic boost controller fix this?

do you have a 3in turbo back no cat? sometimes your turbo is too free flowing causing it to build a lot of boost and the wastegate can keep up with it. Sometimes people port the wastegate hole or i heard of people on subies running a cat to get less of a flow.

1. your actuator hose could be too long, remember the stock one comes from the hotpipe which is located right next to the turbo.

2. your actuator hose could be too small, or clogged (i know you said you replaced it, but check it again)

3. for your actuator, you want to git signal from your charge piping

4. if all else fails, maybe to much flow? not enough back pressure?

wtf, i cant get my car to boost 6psi !(stock setup, no leaks)

Dude, If we could still do custom titles, you would've just gotten necromancer. This thread is a year old.
