I need HELP! My infinity turns off by its self while I’m driving. First its acts like it’s going to stop by its self kind of feels like the breaks go on. The electric stuff still remains on, but is shuts down. I recently replaced the sensors (I’m a girl so I don’t remember what sensors). So it’s happening again! What is it? The battery?

I have heard from a few people that the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor are known for being bad, my wife has the same car and one of my friends that has a garage told me he has had to change a few, and her car has done that a few times too. From what I understand its not an overly expensive fix, but I could be wrong.

Yes, I changed the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor 3 weeks ago. So I'm assuming I need to change them again? and no there not that expensive. Could it be something else messing up the sensors? since i just replaced them?

Did you replace the sensors or did a shop? I'd take it back...if you didn't take it to a dealer, you may want to have them look at it.

I was going to guess that the car was upset that you spell its name with a 'y' and shuts off. :)

lol I just notice that. Good laugh. Well, I had a mechanic friend replace the sensors both the camshaft and the crankshaft .I called the dealer this morning and he said there’s three sensors? What’s the third sensor called?

Hey Bravo,
I found your post and was wondering if this corrected the problem? I'm having the exact same problem with my G 35 and am trying to do some troubleshooting before blowing a bunch of money with the dealer.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
