Hey guys. Just joined. I've been reading these forms for a while so I thought I'd make an account and ask advice and guidance through a project of mine.

Here's the deal: recently went to jail and just got out and my license has been suspended for a year, so I need a hobby. I always honestly loved my old Y33 so much I thought I'd look into buying a solid one and developing a project. I really like rugged, yet comfortable and luxurious looking cars, and it's hard to find one if you're not buying like a Rover. I also have a penchant for wide body cars, so I thought I'd mix and match and see if my idea is at all possible. I want to convert a Y33 into a 4x4 to attain my utilitarian luxury nirvana.

I also know very little about cars, so be patient with me if I mess something up. I just need a cool outlet with all this lame non driving nonsense. Feel free to shoot me a message if you've got a Y33 for sale especially if you're in florida, as I'll be in the market for one soonish. Thanks all!

Welcome to NICO! A 4x4 Y33 would certainly be unique. It's going to require A LOT of fabrication. Have you done anything like that before?

Welcome to NICO.
Congrats on looking at getting into an outlet and giving yourself something to look forwards to- its a great idea, IMO. Especially if you start up a build thread for your progress and for us to help you out.

Can't wait to see it. Link it here when you're ready!

Welcome aboard! Congrats on getting out of jail.
I suppose if you found one of the AWD Y33 vehicles, it wouldn't be so hard... really just either some coilovers and/or some spacers on top of the suspension for a lift, some taller tires, and you're pretty much in business.
Just be careful you don't put any of your suspension at too extreme of an angle.
