i'm new here and i have some question to the 240 sx.

I'm looking at this 96 le that has 166,000 kms, power everything and leather seats. But i don't know what to look at...

Does that year have any problems like engine, transmission or etc.

thnx

Nope, there are no problems, maybe syncro problems with the transmission but if you use the proper fluid such as redline trans fluid, you'll have no problems. Just use good quality fluids for the car and it'll last you. My KA had 160k miles on it and it still was running strong.

Oh, you'll love the car.

just check the basics, clutch slipping, smoke on startup, no rust in the coolant, all fluids, check under the car if you can too. ask the person if they have any records/receipts of anything that was replaced. do a carfax report too.

Check frame rails for rust especially the driverside frame rail. The KA timing chain likes to rattle a little if the tensioners go bad. Thats a pretty big job. Other than that like they said above check for everything else.
