What would be needed to convert a automatic 97 hardbody to manual?thanks!

Welcome!

You will need the clutch pedal, maters and slave cylinders, the transmission itself and a flywheel. That is what comes off the top of my head.

its not a bolt in deal you will have to shorten your driveline and get bucket seats because of the shifter location. peace.

Honestly, look at the price of a 97' manual on Autotrader...you can pretty much get a whole new (used) truck what it will end up costing you in parts and labor. Unless your transmission is blown I'd say it wouldn't be worth it.
