So do you hear the pump at all? Check to see if you have voltage from your ecu on the fuel pump wire.can't remember witch pin but its the black and purple wire. You gotta cycle the key to test test it Because you'll only get voltage For a few seconds. You can also test it under the hood were you wire the harness to the chassis. Its the only black and purple wire.

Pull the fuse and see if the contact is solid. Any time you tap something electrical and it works its rather poor connection or short.

Well first look through the clear plastic at the wire in the fuse. Look real close cuz I've seen connections. On fuses and bulbs that weren't burnt but the connection was barely separated. Or if tou have a voltage meter check continuity on the fuse and the wires.

Are you fuel lines on correct?

Do you have stock fuel filter? When I put a 300zx one on my car its much bigger so i pinched the line and wouldnt start, then i just moved it up some and no more pinched line.

Now that you have fuel pressure check the start signal wire and or fuse. It is on ds kick panel. At the ecu its the only orange wire. Check to see if you have 12v while trying to start the car. Also is yor ignitor chip grounded? It has to be nolted so the backing has good metal to metalContact.

if thats the case then go ahead and check your fuel filters. try blowing thru one side and see if anything comes out the other side.

I would start by replacing fuel filters. and have you ever had fuel injector issues?

possible that your fuel rail or fuel injectors could be the problem...

are you aware of how to receive codes from your ecu?

1.Locate the ECU (under your dash in the center) and look for a small screw next to a LED (towards the back end).2.Turn the ignition to the ON position (engine not running).3.Turn the screw fully clockwise, wait 2 seconds, and then turn it fully counter-clockwise.

The LED will start to display the code by a series of long flashes, followed by a series of short flashes. Your check engine light on the instrument cluster will also flash in the same sequence. This sequence will repeat after a long and short flash.

If you get code 55

there are no problems.

but if youre doing this correctly and you get no flashes I would think your ECU is broken as I have never seen an ECU not blink...

ok but here is what i don't understand y is the fuel pump turning on after i try to crank it over? and the red light turns off after doing so and then turns right back on after i stop. Do u think there might be a short in a ground wire?

the fuel pump should buzz when placing the key to the ON position,as far as the ECU it should repeat the same code until you turn the car to "off"I would borrow a friends ECU and see if it does the same thing, if it doesn't then obviously we know its the ECU.

check the wires going to the ECU make sure they are not showing wire as that may be causing the problem...

good luck
