Finally got around to taking pics of my new ride

1993J30Emerald Green (I think thats the name)Peanut Butter Leatherabout 150,000 miles

Mechanically and interior wise she is in tip top shape, the body on the other hand needs some work, first as you can tell from the pic Ohio has not been nice to hood as it looks like a gravel truck was infront dumping its load, also some rust has started to appear below the rear doors. I plan on media blasting it hopefully and getting her smooth again and then painting her, a colour that I will keep secret but will say its a current nissan/infiniti colour.

Just changed the oil to Mobil 1 along with the filter and the VG is even smooother and quieter than before. Just ordered the a headlight relay as I have the winking passenger light, and transmission filter kit, as I can tell it will need it with my left foot.

Some time this summer she should be getting some 18inch OEM Infiniti wheels from the present, as you can tell the salt has not been kind to my wheels.

She still has the factory exhaust so if I can squeeze it by the spare carrier I would like to get a proper dual exit sysytem, elimanate the pre exhaust and go with some magnaflows, as she is to bloody quiet compared to the better sounding 300zx cousins.

Now for some questions for you experianced ones

have some lights out on the drivers side window control panel, how hard it is to change these?

also the fan control and some other things on the left of the HVAC control have lights out, how hard to change these?

drivers side rear door wont open, the lock wont open all the way but the exterior handle moves freely, and the interior handle moves some but not all the way out, sounds to me like the lock motor rod isnt attached, have dealt with GM doors in the past, so how hard is to fix the J's

also 30T spring and sways, how much diffrence between standard and not, and worth hunting down some? I find the ride right now quite perfect but it could use some less sway.

Lol i was about to point out the backwards front wheels.

You might want to switch them out as the fin pattern on these wheels is designed for brake cooling. You could warp and fade your rotors real quick like this.

Here is a Link for the bulbs in the climate control Plus some more good info http://www.fuzzycats.com/j30_diy.htm, Bulbs were about .50 cents each from dealer. As to the Lights in the drivers door control panel I started to take it apart and There are lots of little pieces inside , I did not have the time that day but I will try again in the future time permitting.

Welcome to NICO!!!

There are no bulbs available for the driver side window regulator from Nissan. I have even checked electronic supply and surplus stores on both sides of the border and have come up empty. For whatever reason, Nissan doesn't carry them. Your only options are to either pick up a "salvage" door regulator and pilfer working bulbs from it, pick-up a working door regulator from Ebay or buy a new door regulator from Nissan.

The exhaust on the J was specifically designed to maximize power and efficiency. Most of us have stuck to the OEM exhaust, a few of us have gone custom, but its been really pricey. Dual pipes are difficult to mount underneath the J.
