I am coming over from B15sentra.net.. a buddy of mine advised me to check you guys out. I have a 2001 B15 Sentra with a built up SR20DE and standalone.. and I'm also the 1st company to offer turbo kits for the QR25DE... so I'm no stranger to doing crazy installs. I had been looking for an S13 Hatch and I finaly found a pristine one for 600.00.. here's how it went..

Well.. I have been looking around for a RWD car.. and this guy basically gave me this one. He knocked on my door yesterday... and says.. "hey.. I see you have a bunch of Nissan's out here.. maybe you would be interested in taking mine.. " I was like.. ok.. So I go look at it.. thinking it's going to be a hunk of ****. Boy was I surprised. Anyway, I drove it.. it burns a little oil.. (180K miles). But it runs pretty damn good. 5spd with a brand new clutch, HKS exhaust, and HKS intake. Also has a Kenwood CD player and a set of components in the doors! I was thinking he was going to ask like 2 grand for it. I almost passed out when he told me he was asking 800.00.. but would take an offer. So, I went home.. and an hour later I call him back.. and tell him I can do 600.00. He agreed and today he signed it over.. :) I'm pretty happy.. There are NO dents or scratches.. the interior is mint. it was kept in a garage, so the dash is still soft.. no cracks.

SO... I am pretty happy that I found this car at such a good price.. I have been thinking about doing an RB25DET swap for a few months now. I know the RB20 will fit.. and that the RB25 is about the same dimension as the 20. Is the transmission on the RB25DET RWD... and is it strong? I am not scared of the install.. as I have a shop with all the tools to do it (welding machine, plasma cutter, air tools... etc..). I just want to make sure this project is worth it. Anyone here do this swap before? And if so.. how much power can be made on the stock motor? Thanks for the help and I look forward to getting started on this project this upcoming spring.Travis

You can do a search around here to get the specs of pretty much every RB engine. Yes, the RB25DET is a RWD transmission. The swap has been done before, I'm almost positive that there's at least one thread about it. Happy hunting.

I have the RB25DET in my 240sx. Here are some pictures.

I will have the kits ready for customers by 1/15/03.

The power is great, the motor is screaming for more boost. But the stock turbo can not handle anything over 7psi. (Ceramic wheel) I will have upgrade kits avalible for the motor by the end of January.

The stock motor should handle up to 400hp, with some changes. With some real work done to the motor you can go up to 800hp or more.

I'll be doing some dyno runs soon. With the current set up and with the upgrades. As soon as I get time and get the car done I'll post the results.

That's beautiful man... When you say "kits", do you mean mounts and all the knick knacks to get it installed in the car? I assume you can just run the RB ECU and wiring harness. I've heard of you guy's shop before and have seen some realy nice installs come out of there. If you can get me some details on what you will be offering.. I'd appreciate it.. ThanksTravis

Yep, the kits will come with New motor/transmission mounts, drive shaft, and send us your Harness for us to rewire (RB ECU and HArness converted to work in your 240).

Also, you will be able to get the converters for your speed/tach to work correctly and Intercooler and piping (front mount) for the RB swap into a 240sx.

The upgrades will be ECU changes, Different turbos for Autocross/drifting and dragracing, new injectors, all the gaskets, and new intake manifolds.

Hopefully soon I'll also be carring all new internal stuff for the real serious people.

Can you PM me with some pricing on this.. I am definately interested. I won't hold you to the pricing.. I just want to know a ballpark so I can start planning. Do you guys plan on making turbo manifolds for this motor? And what turbos are you all running on it? I'm looking for something to support about 375whp on a stock motor.. and on pump gas. I was thinking like a T04S or along those lines. Not too familiar with the larger turbos. We do a lot of SR20's but that's about it.TravisTravis
