hi! i have a 1995 240sx. i just got it not too long ago but recently discovered this cool site! i hope the people here are nice and can help me !!

one of my friends gave me their rsr springs and kyb dampers and momo wheel and i tried to put them on with my lil bros help!! i am not sure if it is on right, but the wheel pretty much is straight when the car is straight, but when i let go it tilts to the right and my car veers to the right! so i went and got an alignment today at sears and the guy told me that he cant adjust the camber and stuff anymore and some of it is still out of alignment i guess, it still acts the same but he told me thats the best he can do!!

heres the printout, help me please!!

the rear suspension does have camber adjustment if i remember correctly. all cars lose a bit of camber after a while, it's the nature of worn parts. you can purchase camber plates for the front that will allow you to get back to 0, but -1 to -2 isn't bad.

As for the wheel, you might have gotten it situated on crooked. take it off and try to realign it with the wheel's pointing forward.

There are a couple of things you need a good mechanic to judge the age of. First off are the bushings, there are a good 10-12 of them at the various ends (tierods, control arms, etc). Parts and labor on that should run about $400-500 if you get it done right... though as many will be quick to point out, you can save a significant amount of money if you have the right tools, and can afford to spend some time doing it.

Once all of your bushings are checked out to be good, your car should be pretty well alignable.

i am pretty sure given th age of the care that the bushings prolly arent all what they used to, waht is this energy suspension i hear about? where can i get a set of these? hte bolts are what the mechanic said he uses to adjust the camber like the image up there, basically the bolts are skinnier or something to allow more play.

Eccentric bolts, they are shaped in a sense so that you can push the arm in or out by rotating it. Those are located on the rear upper control arm (for camber) and on the rear lower control arm (for toe).

The rear suspension has a maximum of 0.75 deg. of camber adjustment. However keep in mind that as the vehicle ages, and previous alignments are performed, you may or may not have the full 0.75 deg. of adjustment because the bolt may already be compensating for previous camber issues.

The rear suspension also has toe adjustment, this should be at 0 deg. for your car. If not then it needs to be taken back. There is more than enough toe adjustment to correct your vehicle's toe (unless you've hit something and damaged a control arm)

If you had it aligned at a shop, then they will set the front end alignment closest to factory spec.

Front caster is NOT adjustable from the factoryFront camber is NOT adjustable from the factoryFront toe IS adjustable from the factory

So your toe in the front should be equal on both sides and have a little toe-in for stability in a corner.

Energy suspension makes a S14 kit but not a S13 kit IIRC.

if you are looking for some more camber adjustment check out pdm-racing http://pdm-racing.com/products/suspension.htmlabout mid way down the page they have rear eccentric camber bolts with bushings that fit into the upper control arms. i have these and if you get them i suggest getting a shop to install the bushings if you dont have access to a press. i also bought some eccentric camber bolts for the front that bolt into the strut-hub connection and they change the angle that the strut has with the hub as they are adjusted. also, i used the alignment settings that i found in a magazine article thats on whiteline's web site. i cant seem to get their site to work right now but it is on there
