yeah, so what wires do I need to give power to if I am putting an M30 harness and computer on another, completely different car? I knwo theres like 8 wires you need to wire up an RB20DET into a 240sx, is it as simple as that? thanks for any info!

What exactly are you trying to do? Put a RB20DET into a M30? It shouldn't be too hard. I think that engine was an option at one point for the Nissan Leapard (M30). Best bet would be to try to snag a wiring harness from a rb20det out of a Leapard.

Would probably be easier/cheaper to put a 80's style 300zx turbo motor in though.

If you're trying to put a m30 engine into something else, what the hell for? It only makes about 160hp.

See...this makes me laugh...you say put the 80s 300zx turbo motor in, and then make fun of the M30 motor. Its identical save for the turbo (Leopard: VG30E...300zx: VG30ET). The RB is the better option. If you are going for the VG (300zx, stock Leopard engine) then do a Z32 VG30DETT and make it worth your while. I'm not sure if the DOHC heads would fit in the Leopard, though. Actually, I'd be more worried about the turbos. If I'm not mistaken, the Leopard was never too well off on engine space, so I'm not sure how any of those besides the RB would fit.

do some more research. the leopard came with the vg30det. yes det, dohc, single turbo v6. i actually had one in my possesion at one time for a swap into a na 91 300zx. damn do i wish i held onto that.
