2007 Base Model w/ 33K on it?
It pains me to say this (and I'm not trying to ruin your day, I genuinely feel bad), but you overpaid BIG TIME. There's a $1,250.00 factory rebate right now for the Versa and there is ALWAYS room to negotiate even more. Your car officially goes out of warranty in 3K unless there's some kind of Certified Nissan Warranty, but even those are a joke. You're not sure what's meant by transmission - it just means either you drive an automatic or a 5 or 6-speed manual.
In any case, I just priced a 2010 Versa w/ Automatic Transmission and the Power Package, which brings the total MSRP to $15,910.00. With the $1,250 rebate, it brings the price of the car to $14,660.00.
Factoring in recession and typically slow sales month (Jan-April), you could have likely gotten the car out the door for $13,500.00 if you threatened to walk. Even if you settled on $14,000 (which is almost guaranteed that they'd say yes), that translates to $700.00 more for a brand new car, full factory warranty, and ABS standard (I'm not sure what else is new and standard for 2010).
Like I said, I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I hate when dealerships rip people off. I bought my brand new, 2010 Versa 1.8S with a 6 speed and power package for right under $12,600.00.
I wish we could have gone car-shopping together.
