Post

Hi everyone. I bought my 2009 Versa back on Aug. 11th of this year. Sorry I don't have any pictures of it yet. NONE in fact. Anyway...... It's the 5 door 1.8 Hatch "S", White with PW/PL/AC/Cruise So far it's been an okay car. I have 5,200 miles on it now but I must say, my 2007 Ford Taurus gets better gas milage. So far the best Hywy MPG I got is 27. My Taurus gets 32. Go figure? Because I'm an old fart (52) and don't spend money on cars like I did when I was young, the only "mods", or additions I'll do will be WHEELS BIG TIME! Those wheel covers have GOT to go. Maybe paint the grill all black, tint the windows and I saw somewhere on here that ebay has armrests for this car..... Well, I want one of them too. And if I start to feel spunky, I'll add fog lights to my wish list too. But that's probably it. Like I said, I don't have any pictures yet, but when my daughter comes to visit Christmas day, I'll have her take them because I'm an idiot when it comes to this new stuff. I'm still trying to figure out how to clean my 8 track.

Anyway, thanks for having me. Catch ya on the flip-flop.

Your wheel covers will fall off by themselves, they are not to keen to sticking around too long on our cars.

Gas mileage is a hit or miss on the Versa's, some people report great and some get crappy mileage.

Fall off on their own, eh?.... Well, that's good to know.....I think. As for the gas milage....Ah...What are ya gonna do? Not the worst thing in my life I guess. But I gotta say.....Gas milage was so much better in the 70s and 80s. You'd think we'd be getting 50 -70 MPG by now. But that a rant for another day.

Nooooooo, no, no, no, no. I'm not tawkin' 'bout no stinkin' hybrid. I'm tawkin' 'bout a regular ole car engine.....No Battery.....No natural gas..... No rocket boosters. For example....the 1974 Datsun B-210 got 49 MPG. It went down slightly in 1977....47 I believe. The 1980 VW Diesel rabbit got [52/B] MPG (My father owned 2 of them slow a** bad boys)So... with out technology what it is today, I would THINK that the manufacturers would have come up with something a little more exciting than a measley 35 MPG. I mean, these guys are throwing babies up in the air over that. Pfffffft. I think they need to go back and do a little research.

They are just milking us for the money and will switch over to better technology when fuel runs out. Which will be a while longer...
