Thanks! Glad to be here... I've already found some VERY useful info. I do have pics, but they're all stock since I did just buy it, although I finally installed the Pioneer AVIC-D2 DVD nav system that was in my Solara today. No pics of that yet, but I'll take them and put 'em up tomorrow.Clean_4th gen wrote:Welcome, Tampa Florida here, any pics?
Thanks! Nope... I'm a complete newbie. I have a few friends who have Versas, though, and a couple who's planning on getting one this year because of me.Clean_4th gen wrote:That's a sexy hatch.
Do you know of any Versa clubs around here?
How about we start our own club? How far are you guys from Tampa?CraigFL wrote:Thanks! Nope... I'm a complete newbie. I have a few friends who have Versas, though, and a couple who's planning on getting one this year because of me.
Pretty far. No direct route between here and Tampa, so I would say 3-4 hours. :|Clean_4th gen wrote:

Wow. That's a bit of a drive!CraigFL wrote:Pretty far. No direct route between here and Tampa, so I would say 3-4 hours. :|

I dont know about Craig but when Im doing high speed(70+) the steering wheel vibrates pretty hard and I can feel the car moving from side to side. Not that I cant control it but I feel it...iluvmyVersa08 wrote: Shaking? What part of the car shakes? Does it feel like it's being tossed around in the wind or does the steering wheel shake in your hands?
I have no clue, the only thing I did was remove my hubcaps. My steel wheels are "14. Could it be that the car itself is too light?iluvmyVersa08 wrote: I have no idea what it could be. My steering wheel doesn't shake when I drive at high speeds.
Something to do with your tires maybe?
I dont plan on lowering mine but strut bar and wider tires sounds good. Which strut would work the best? The one in the engine bay or the one by the rear tires?Promise Land wrote: the car is tall with skinny tires.
Ways to help this:
1. add wider tires
2. lower it
3. add a strut bar to reduce body flex
4. all of the above
go with the engine bay first. Get a solid one like DC, Nismo, Ultra Brace, etc.Clean_4th gen wrote:I dont plan on lowering mine but strut bar and wider tires sounds good. Which strut would work the best? The one in the engine bay or the one by the rear tires?
