Hi guys, first post on the forum, so I thought i'd introduce myself before asking for your knowledge!

Im a regular user of 300zx.co.uk, and feel free to have a nose at pics of my car.

I currently own a 93 300zx Convertible, in N/A form, and really enjoy it!

Recently completed an auto to manual gearbox conversion, and quite a few various 'cosmetic' upgrades.

The engine is starting to get tired, so a rebuild is on the cards, I am not going to go down the TT route, as i've had one, been there, done that!

My question is, without mentioning going down the TT route, what upgrades would you guys recommend when rebuilding an N/A engine?

What cams would you suggest? What size pistons?Any other recomendations?

Many thanks in advance, look forward to any advice!

Welcome to NICO! Post some pics of your 'vert!

I have really no experiences with upgrading the internals on a N/A Z, so I can't really help you there. Have you done all the bolt-ons yet?

Intake, Unorthodox underdrive crank pulley, Stillen headers, full exhaust , ECU chip (Z1, ASHspec, JWT).

That would be about it. Anything other than would be overkill.

Thanks for the welcome.

Sorry, forgot to add that I have fitted headers, (Had them imported from the USA, then had them converted for RHD!) De-catted exhaust, with PowerFlow rear boxes.Apexi induction.Unorthodox underdrive crank pulley.

But was hoping to add some more hp whilst doing the re-build, but there does seem to be a lack of information regarding N/A upgrades.

Welcome aboard!

I know very little about the VG30, but are high compression pistons available? Seems like the next step for a high powered NA motor. I'm sure they would be expensive, but along with cams and a retune, the motor should be capable of making good power.
