Good morning all,

I was browsing this forum for a while - but decided to finally sign up today.

I am considering to get a G37 Sedan - and I am considering to import it from the US (to Canada).

Is there anyone here who has done that (recently)? Would you mind sharing your experiences?

If this has been already discussed here: sorry for the double post - and can you please point me to the appropriate thread?

Thank you for any help!

Thanks for the links. I am somewhat familiar with importing cars to Canada, however, the parts I do not know are:- is Infiniti Canada honoring the US warranty?- which would be the best US dealer to get a car from (ideally not too far from Buffalo)?- how easy / complicated is it to convert all the gauges / displays to km, celsius etc.?

Thank you so much for sharing any advice.

Welcome welcome,

Guelph here.

About the warranty honoring. They suppose to be honor the warranty since it is a world wide warranty however you are depending from your dealer. Also some packages are different at the states from our land. Like there is no base model here. If you run into some of these than you might have some problems.

Best would be if you ask few dealers around you to see what they say. I know for awhile there was a sign at my service dep. saying something about it but I did not see that today when I went there.

Are you buying a new one? I've seen some good deals even here in Canada. Not sure how much you can save. But I am not familiar with the fees for importing and price in the States. Also you have to look into getting the DRL since it is only standard on Canadian models.

Woodstock, Ont here!

I'll just add that my friend imported a truck (2001 Blazer back in 2003) from the states and it ended up costing him 3-4 grand to have it safetied in Canada. I know some of it was installation, but thanks to the exchange rate he didn't end up saving himself a whole lot, especially with all the hassle.
