I have a few questions about the vert 240sx...no i dont own one..but it makes me interested to save up and buy one if i can do the following..

1. IF i purchse a S15 clip (prices will be diff 2 years from now when i plan on buying..only 15 here) can i basicly put the whole clip on the car..make it right hand drive..like using the dash and stuff....basicly making a right hand drive 240sx vert with a S15 front end......call me dumb or stupid but i dont kno much about that perticular area...i kno Nissans, honda, stuff of that sort but this question is a really pickle to me.....sure i got time to buy a car, but if i can do that, how sweet would that be?

2. This is an ICE question now...could i possbile removes the back seats, place subs in the back...fiberglass and all...pput the amps in the trunk...and maybe make a roadster top on top of it to cover it..i honestnly dont like the rear seats in the vert..my opinion

those are my questions, i was just wondering if anyone can like help me with this....yes i kno ALL of this would cost me a POOP load of money but hey, i am a very optomistic person...and thats who i am

thanks guy

i'm SUCH a noob over here

Hey Pacemaker. Welcome to NICO.

You have a pretty awesome sounding project in mind. I say go for it!!!

1.) You certainly can buy an S15 clip. They are not cheap! They are also hard to find with the body panels included. Sounds like you have some time to learn while you are saving your pennies. So, let me help you get started... Up on the top right of your screen you will find a little red search button. There are some really detailed posts on the three topics that you are asking about. A.) SR20 swap. B.) RHD swap C.) S15 conversion.

2.) If you are clever and learn how to work with fiberglass, you could certainly remove the back seat and make it an audio system or storage compartment or something else. One member here is talking about putting a keg in the trunk for cruising Daytona Beach.

If you want help to more specific questions, keep replying and we can help you get there.

Good luck and keep those dreams alive.

Welcome to the best Vert forum on the net. Oh wait, it's the only 240 Vert forum on the net

anyways, i can tell you right now that the RHD swap using S15 interior components won't work period. The interiors are just too radically different. Of course, the only issue I have with the vert's interior are the cheesy ABS plastic door panels that Nissan used.

As far as pulling the rear seat out, by all means do it. The rear seat is only there for insurance purposes anyways. Only midgets and double jointed circus freaks can fit back there. I'm contemplating pulling the rear seat out of mine and making a storage compartment/sub and amp enclosure, but I'm gonna wait till I get my rollbar in before I consider that.

they don't care. insurance rates are set for factory rolling conditions. then they get adjusted based on your age, driving history, and current blue book value of the car.

if what i did to my car altered my insurance, then i would be paying a massive premium just for stuffing a turbo motor in my car. And my insurance agent knows it's turbocharged by the way.
