I'm new to the vg scene and got a quest was wondering if a vg30det or tt would fit under the hood. I intend to switch it to manual transmission not scared to fab it out. Just looking for any helpful info thnx.

Have you pulled the FSM at www.nissanservicemanual.com?

Your best bet on that swap is gonna be finding a 97 Maxima with a 6mt and swapping everything over, including the ECU / harness / trans, THEN worry about adding a turbo kit.

I'm guessing 6mt is a manual six I will look into that just found out Nissan did a s\c that will bolt to my vg but hoping I can get a vg30d in not sure of the width difference on the heads and its tight in there maybe a sr is a good choice new to Nissan mods and building having a blast.
