I just wanted to introduce myself to the board. I'm planning an extensive 240 build up for next year and this seems like the best place to start. I look forward to picking your brains. I'm well versed in using the "search" button, but I'm sure I'll ask typical NOOB questions from time to time :)

Welcome Jeremy!

What kind of build are you planning? Do you have the car already, or still looking? This is a pretty good place to gather good info! NICO and 240sx.org are great resources. The FAQ on 240sx.org is AWESOME!!!

Thanks!

No car yet, but I plan on picking up a cheap 91-93 fastback and then swapping in a VLSD (depending on how much hp the VLSD will hold). After setting up the handling and breaking, I'm going to swap in the S13 SR20DET "blacktop". Also, my gf promised to fund an S15 strawberry conversion :ylsuper

:wavey Hi! One bit of advice, be sure that you'll be happy with the stock powerplant. I had sr dreams when I bought my 240, but I knew that I couldn't afford it. I'm perfectly happy with the KA though. My 240 is the best car I've owned, and I want to hold on to it. You may not always have the money for an sr swap.

lol. yes actually, her sister is 29, single, drives a new BMW 330xi.... haha

I told my GF that I was looking into turboing a miata, 240, or a scoobie (subaru). She favored the 240 and I'm all for it now. This will be a street car that will see occasional circuit, autoX, and drag races. I think this will be a very fun project.

I currently own a Mazda Protege. Let me say that the aftermarket support for the 240 is a night and day difference from the Protege.

Wow, if I were single I would head East! Welcome to NICO and best of luck with your project. Keep us up to speed on your project.

Later,

Andy
