I'm new to the forums but am glad to be here and to have a chance to talk about my new car =).

I recently purchased a black 2009 nissan versa sedan s. I've been reading some posts to try and find some stuff to do to my car and I've found some stuff that interested me.

The main thing I'm interested in is the nf210 tanabe springs. Eventually i'm going to buy some 17X7 wheels but I was wondering if i bought the springs would I be able to put them on myself? I have a couple of tools but I am not sure which I might need, or if it's just easier to take them to a local wheel shop and how much they might charge to do it.

Any help is appreciated and I look forward to posting and conversing more with everyone

If you want to lose an eye you can. Taking the shocks out is the easier part. Getting the springs off and on is the hard/life threatening part. Unless you have a spring compressor or know someone who does I don't recommend doing it alone. Do it the safe, right way.

Alright so any wheel shop should be able to do them right?

Alright awesome. Has anyone done this to an 09 yet? I'd hate to buy then find out they won't fit. Another thing I was wondering about was the warranty.

It'll only void the warranty probably on just your suspension and such. It's been covered in this forum multiple times that Nissan still has to honor the warranty unless they can prove that what you did to your car (ie, lowering springs) caused the part to fail.

Example: You lower your car and a few months later a strut breaks. Won't be covered because more than likely that was caused by you lowering it.

Example: You lower your car and a few months later your A/C goes out. Would be covered unless they somehow could blame the additional vibration from the tougher suspension on the failure. However, this is extremely highly unlikely.
