yeah, best thing to do is to solder the solder joints on your switch. From maybe wasting around two or trhee buck to repair the switch and have extra solder wire handy, you would have was wasted from 20 to 25 buck or maybe more (depending where you are at) to buy a new switch from the dealer. just pay close attention to where you really have to solder, if the solder joint looks like it can be ed or has lost its conncetion, solder it. Also clean the contacts of the rheostat part of your switch. This is the part of your switch where when you turn the dimmer, the resistance increases/decreases when you turn it.
