it gets better, i promise. the seats just need a little leather conditioner and they will be awesome. when i first got my coupe, i took it on a drive from california to colorado and the seats were a little stiff, but 15000 miles later, they are wonderful! they just take a little breaking in, promise.

Stupid question but did you adjust the lumbar support? You need to adjust it for proper posture etc. If your back is hurting you don't have it adjusted properly.

I've driven 4 hour plus trips and no pains/discomfort at all. You might want to get your back checked too.

you see, the drivers seat isnt the one that people complain is uncomfortable, i love it lol it is the passenger seat. i dont believe that the passenger seat has lumbar support adjustment either in the 2.5. just think about it like your baseball glove as a kid. remember how stiff and unflexable it was before you applied glove oil or spent hours working the stiffness out of the leather? same concept, now the glove just happens to wrap around your arse instead of your hand

yeah i always re-adjust the seats when I go on long trips, the way the seat is on a daily basis for me would kill my back but its more comfy for cruising short distances.

I drove to dangeris' house there and back in 1 day (9 hours of driving in total), twice actually and had no problems back-wise. And I don't even have leather. Play around with your seats, it makes a huge difference!

i dunno i'd have to agree with the op, my back hurts after driving more than 1 hour, lower back in particular. i've adjusted the lumbar support and the tilt of the chair to try and get it as comfortable as possible, but nothing seems to work. it's not often i drive for that long at a time so it's not a major concern, but i'm thinking about investing in a back support and throw that into the car for the long trips.

Odd, I commute about and hour each way to work and I've never had a problem with discomfort. The A/C seat isn't the most comfortable car seat I've ever sat in, but it doesn't give me problems. Sorry to hear that your seat is giving you so much problems that you're comtemplating trading it in...

i drive around a lot in my car and haven't had any back problems. i myself have major back problems, but i do not believe it's from the car.

i would buy a small pillow or a car seat massager instead of trading in a beautiful car =P.

I drove from South Carolina to Pennsylvania (700+) miles around Christmas and only stopped once each way, and that was for gas, so I've spent nearly 11+ solid hours on the Altima's seats in one day, and the only thing that bothered me was being in the same position for so long. I think, adjusted correctly, the seats are quite comfortable!
