Hi All,

I am recent owner of 2012 G37, about 5 months ago dealership replace the differential pinion seal for minor oil leak. Now the car makes whining noise while its moving. I verified that the noise is coming from the differential. My car only has 57000 miles and in my opinion differential has very low miles to go bad. Could this be installation of the pinion seal is not done correctly or is my differential going bad for real? Your advice on this is greatly appreciated!!

Yes, it will make noise if the seal is replaced and the pinion isn't properly set/tightened.
