yup, h22 is pretty impressive. but 98-99 preludes are heavy. if you drop usdm h22 into a 94-95 prelude youll have a low 14 second car. Then you always have the option to turbo to. turbo h22 @ like 8 psi is crazy.

Hey guys, I guess some of you take me too seriously.

I think a 99 lude is an awesome winter car.

The riceboys up here would kill for one.

Its too small for me (ive driven a few) but its still a great handling ride, looks nice, only has 38k, and is fwd for winter.

6500? Thats one hell of a price!:)

But its still a honduh!:rolleyes

I am not by any means an expert but isn't premium for cars which need the higher octane level to prevent pre-ignition due to a more powerful engine? Anyone know any more about the reason it would need premium gas? Or am I incorrect?

I don't see what's so damned amazing about the Prelude taking premium....

My S14 calls for premium, and so did my Probe GT.

I put premium in both of them, and both of them ran much better on the higher quality gas.

Besides, premium is like 20 cents more per gallon. Not a real big deal.

Dude that's easily worth 2x how much you paid for it. my dad has a 98 w/ about 75k on it, it's quick. High Compression engine!!! you need premium!!!! It makes 40 more HP than a ka24de w/ .2 less liters. about the same torque, but the compression ratio is higher than 10 to 1.

That's one of the dumbest things i have ever heard. 93+ preludes came w/ the h22 vtec option. SAME ENGINE and they didn't run low 14's..........Now maybe a 3rd gen Prelude might be quick. 97-01 preludes weighed like 2950, Sh weighed a tad over 3k, not that heavy. A bit more than a 240 but not a 3000 gt or anything....
