http://www.rallylights.com/hel...n.aspQuote »Aftermarket horns provide a louder, and often more pleasant sound than stock horns. Stock horns typically have an output of 97 dB. The decibel scale is logarithmic and therefore the sound pressure doubles for every increase of 3 points, i.e. a horn with 118 dB is approximately seven times as loud as a stock horn.[/quote]

12v 118dB set includes: one 500 Hz horn, one 300 Hz horn

anyone got these? :)

I saw this civic once who had a horn hooked up that literally was as loud as a freight train fog horn or a semi or something. It was ridiculously loud and scared the beejeezus out of people. We were down the street and where like WTF was that? We were near a railroad so we thought it was a train until he kept doing it.

instead of a horn i am simply going to rig up an aim-able gatling gun to my roof. that will teach people not to pull out in front of ME!

Old hotrodder trick is to hook up a 6volt horn in a 12volt system. Doesn't last long, but it's LOUD.

those things seem very tempting to buy tell me if you buy one , how it works , i am kinda worried about the whole loudbess thing cuz if you are working under the hood or somethign and someone hits the horn you may loos your hearing 118 dbs in 6' is alot maybe if one could rig it so you can turn it off when working on your car.

just find where the 12v wire is that goes to the horn, or the ground ,and splice a switch into it.

you can add a switch to just about everything. even like 1 of the digits of a digital dash if u want.. just gotta now how.. sometimes its not easy.. but for things like ON OFF it is.

My friends had an air horn hooked up in his car once, he put the switch on the left side on the floor and you could use your foot to hit it, nice setup, but very annoying (lights dimmed quite a bit when engaged) since he decided to hit it every time he passed my house, even though my house is several hundread yards from the road i could still hear it well. Id rather have a PA system like my EMT buddy, you can not only yell at other drivers but "holla" at the ladies.
