Will the S15bb hold boost at the higher RPMs? What kinda power would it be good for? I don't think I need quick spool all that might. Although when i'm at a light and somone deciedes to take off, either I have to light up the clutch to get it spooled quicker or let them leave me standing off the line. That's the only real issue I see with quick spool. (I only drag race)

If you only drag race I would not worry too much about spool time. After you launch your shifts will be above the lag area anyway.

So which turbo would be good for me then?

I don't know. That's what I am trying to figure out now. I am looking at something like a GT30R or something similar. I just really don't want to have to convert to a T3 flange and that turbo only comes that way. It maybe called the GT3037 by HKS. It is a pretty big turbo though. Maybe a little too big for me. If I don't do that a HKS GT-RS is in my future. It maxes out about 400hp.

I want a bottom mount turbo. I don't like the bling. But I guess if there is clearance issues...

The GT-RS has a T25 flange and then are plenty of bottom mount manifolds for it including the stock one. The GT25R also will bottom mount to a T25 flange and is suppose to push about 400-450 with the .86A/R.

The GT-RS is suppose to be slightly bigger than the 2540, but with better spool due to a better matched compressor/turbine.

also the HKS GT3037 or 3037S also uses the T-25 Flange.....i don't see bottom mount happening but u can retain the t25 flange (some say it spools faster than T3)

About what would a GT-RS cost? Would there be any clearance issues?

Wow I did not know that the 3037 was a T25 flange. I know the GT30R is a T3. As for the GT-RS price, I think it is about $1700, but HKS says it is an upgrade which I believe has all the fittings and lines needed to mount it to the SR. HKS part# 11004-AN004. Retail is about $2460, but they can be had for about $1700. Note that you will still need all the goodies like injectors, MAFS, JWT ECU (or power FC), head gasket.

Just as a note, cheapturbos.com has the 3037 for $1459 turbo only

I see the GT-RS for around 1700, it seems like it might have all the components to bolt on. Could I run a GT-RS with the stock 370cc injectors initially? On just low boost like 8psi?

How about the Tomei B7652, it's bolt on for the S13 SR and it is rated to 380hp.

Where did you see the GT-RS? I noticed that phase2motortrend has it, but for the S13 it is mucho more. I don't know why. Anyway, I guess you could run the 370s to start with, but they will max out at some point. Now whether that will cause your car to start leaning out at 8psi, I do not know.

BTW...does anyone know where I can get compressor maps for the HKS turbos?

I suggest getting the supporting mods first, but that's just me. I prefer to install all my parts at once that way I can brake them all in at once. If you want to buy a larger turbo without supporting mods just keep the boost very low and you won't have any problems.

Don't see how the big28 is worth the money IMO...

Any turbo can fit any car, all you have to do is get the flange modified
