Push the recirculate interior air button on the hvac control panel. it's on the left side of the panel.

If this was an older vehicle I would say you had a blend door problem. On a new vehicle that should not be an issue. Unless of course someone forgot to hook something up during the build process. Have you ever had heat?

Maybe your thermostat failed open and the car is just not coming up to full heat in this colder weather. Either way take it back and offer to swap even up for a new vehicle that has heat.

All the frivolous electronic gizmos are worthless when you don’t have good heat, and it’s 0F outside.

(Edit) I reread your post again, I think your engine is coming up to temp and the thermostat is opening like it’s supposed to, and then it’s just not closing again like it should do. It should open and close to regulate the engine temperature. Have the dealer replace the thermostat.

My dealer try to explain is nothing wrong , went to Gm and they laugh
still under warranty but they not able to figure out LOL
when I start driving everything ok . after aprox 30 miles the air on the vent is below my settings ( cold air )
I dont know how to explain to the stupid lead technician to change something
they already had the car for test and says is normal but I m freezing if I go for a long drive
It seems if I don't tell what is the problem they are not able to fix it
when you set temp on 76 'F what is the temp what should blow on vent?

Isn’t the real question what temperature it actually is in the car?

76 degrees is not going to feel like warm air... if anything you will have a slight wind chill effct at the vent.

As the car warms up, it will put out less and less heat to maintain a temperature range..

Ok so with the additional information you have provided, I no longer think you have a thermostat problem. I thought you were describing a no heat or very little heat situation with your vehicle. On a cold day say 10F as you drive down the road does ice form on the inside of your windshield? Are you so cold that you must wear gloves and a heavy coat? If setting your temp at 76 is not keeping you warm turn it to 90. Despite the fancy digital readout I assume you’re car has, the heater controls boil down to low, medium and hi. If you can’t stay warm at a medium or low setting turn it up as far as it goes.

The air from the vents will not necessaily be the temperature you have selected. The automatic climate control will mix the air to get the vehicle to the desired temperature. Sometimes it will blow hotter, and often much colder air in the warm weather, to get to the set tempreature. You need to put a simple thermometer in the car and see what reading it gets relative to what you have set.

If it is not even close then there is an issue and you can demonstrate it to the dealership using this simple method. There are any number of possible issues that could cause this. The ambient temperature sensor, blend doors, heater core and even the sunlight detector on the dash or rearview mirror. All those play a role in the system and how it attempts to get the car to the temperature you have selected.

Good luck with getting it resolved.

This is for the 2016 Rogue but should be similar to 2017

If you look at page 10, there are multiple sensors that helps regulate the temperature within the vehicle. It could be that the in-vehicle sensor thinks the car is warmer than its actually is, causing the system to put out more cold air. It could be the ambient sensor (exterior) thinks the outside is warmer, thus mixing more cold air in the process. I would take it back to the dealer (or try a different Nissan dealer) since your car is still in warranty.

If the Buick was driven on a 50 degree day and the next day was 0 degree then that would be a lot of the difference, pretty much no ATC on the planet can hit target in extremes of hot or cold. That even includes home HVAC.

Your Buick used variable air speed to maintain a set temperature, lots of people found that annoying.

Your Nissan uses set air speed and variable temperature to maintain.

Using words such as it’s freezing cold heat when I fact it’s not will not get you far at the dealer.

Put a thermometer in there with you and see what temperature it actually goes too.
